This app is for doctors, nurses and other health professionals who want to implement the WHO Dengue Protocol in managing dengue patients during the 48-hour critical phase of dengue where patients are most in danger of death.

The app features:

1. FLUID RESUSCITATION COMPUTATION
2. NOTIFICATIONS
3. MESSAGING
4. HEMATOCRIT CHART & BAR GRAPH
5. PATIENT ADD, SEARCH, DELETE, EDIT
6. METRIC & IMPERIAL INPUT
7. IDEAL WEIGHT COMPUTATION
8. DENGUE PRESUMPTIVE DIAGNOSIS
9. HOSPITAL ADMISSION CRITERIA

The app computes the volume of fluids needed by a patient based on patients hemodynamic status and blood hematocrit reading. It will also compute the length of time the specific fluid treatment is to be applied. Each treatment can be customized to doctors judgment but all safely within the parameters of the WHO Dengue Guidelines. The app will suggest if the intravenous fluid needed is colloids or crystalloids, or blood. It will also suggest the volume, for example, 15 ml/kg/hour. It will suggest also a duration or time frame, say 60 minutes, that the fluid resuscitation should be carried out.

The app has a notification system that keeps track which patients are due for hemodynamic evaluation at any given time. This is very helpful for doctors who manage several patients at once. This means that patients will have better chances to receive the correct treatment in a very timely manner. The notification system also features timers that can be seen by users counting down the remaining time when a new treatment or evaluation should be performed on the patient. The notices will show up on your iPhone notification center. When the app is first run, it will ask for permission to send notices. Choose YES to receive notices.

Each treatment or fluid resuscitation strategy generated by the app can be sent to other colleagues working on the same patient thru text messaging or email in one click, thus avoiding miscommunication between doctors and nurses on duty. All treatments are available for detailed viewing.

Hematocrit levels as well as fluid volumes generated can be seen on a graph or chart as visual aids. This gives the doctor a quick visual history of the patients treatment and status.

This is the best app for dengue management that any doctor can have. Get this app and let your judgment be always in sync with the correct dengue protocol.

Just enter the patients name (required), weight (required) and height (optional). Doctors who prefer using kgs or lbs or ft and inches can set their preference right there on the screen and the app will remember it. Patients can be edited or deleted anytime. Doctors can search for patients names. Treatments can be deleted anytime. The app even computes for ideal weight, which is the weight to use if patient is overweight.

This is a very well-designed app, simple to use and intuitively functional!
